I couldn’t imagine what could possibly come from this photo session. Then, I put this together and smiled as I remembered how she liked to do her own thing-no instruction needed/wanted. Many kids are camera shy and sit until you ask them to talk to you, play a game, etc. but for this show, I sat back and waited to see what would happen next. Pure entertainment. : )
OK, so I was having fun with this! She was dying to play with the beads so I used a little bribery… She was happy to play where I needed her to play as long as she could have the beads. She tried so hard to get these beads on and then finally… success. She stood in the mirror to observe and she was pleased!
He was definitely not at a lack for ideas!
This is my niece, Paisley. She is beautiful BUT she doesn’t like me. When she sees me, she often goes the other way or CRIES. I still have not won her affection BUT that’s ok… someday she will like me. We are taking care of her this week and she had quite the scene when it was time to leave with me but the minute we left her neighborhood, the crying stopped, the talking started. Since then, she has been fine. She is having great fun with my kids and we love having her here! She is low key and low maintenance! Its perfect for this crazy mix. Anyhow, I am working on some lighting assignments and I was able to coax her next to the window with a sucker. : ) Anything to get some good pictures!
I usually have children running to and fro… but these guys were experienced. They have this perfect “huddle” pose. It was like they had been doing this for years. We grab a spot, I set up my camera, look up, and they are in position, ready to roll.
Super cute kids, super cute mom. We were trying white and black as the background… What do you think? Actually, I am now in love with a new background… it will be a surprise. I am going to do a session with it in March. oooh, aren’t you so excited? : )
Most of the time, I try to get true kid stuff-their real smile, real laughter, real goofiness… this is real! This is his favorite thing to do. He actually thought it was so cool that he could bring it to his photo session! Talk about easy to please! Now, if his mom would only hang this! This certainly tells his story and captures a stage in life…
For a bunch of girls who play volleyball, it was sure hard for them to coordinate a kick line! Loved seeing them laugh, struggle, and work in a bit of team work! They were all so kind hearted and beautiful. They clean up really well! On the court, I am sure they are one tough crowd! :)
